Restoration of a larger-than-life sandstone sculpture.

Careful manual cleaning (steam), consolidation of loose original material (scales, spalling) through needling and non-insulating glue, detail reconstruction of both feet and both arms, detailed restoration of the surface, respectively sealing of the surface with mineral restoration mortar (damages measuring less than 15 mm in diameter were not repaired), conservation with KSE (flood coat wet-in-wet), precautionary cast and fabrication of a cast as marble imitation on epoxy basis.
